Last week's meeting featured representatives of the Sustainable Hanover Committee described their many accomplishments and ambitious goals for making Hanover environmentally friendly.
 
UPCOMING EXCITEMENT
 
September 3 - Noon to 4pm at Colburn Park, Lebanon Rotary will be hosting their annual Brewfest featuring beer, food trucks, live music and games. Tickets are $30.
 
October 1: Rotary's second annual Stuff-a-Truck to benefit Cover Home Repair & the Cover Store. We will be trying to fill a truck with tools, furniture and other valuables that will help support Cover's Mission.
 
November 17: Our annual Gala and Auction! 
 
December: Bell-Ringing to support Listen's fuel assistance program.

September 14 - Laura Perez, the Executive Director of our Auction Gala partner, the Special Needs Support Center will be joining us.
 
September 21 - Ben Van Vliet, the Executive Director of Upper Valley Music Center will speak about adults learning music.
 
September 28 - Nancy Bloomfield, Executive Director of Family Place (an organization Hanover Rotary has supported for years) will discuss how strong family values in the Upper Valley are supported.
 
October 5 Ken Hendra, president of Lebanon's Toastmaster's club and Rotary District Governor Caroline Earl will be speaking.
 
October 12 - Alex Torpey, Hanover Town Manager will share a few remarks and then field questions.
 
October 19 Behishta Sadaat, new resident of Hanover and award-winning advocate for women's rights will share her experiences evacuating Afghanistan.
