A compelling story to be told by our speaker this week, Behishta Sadaat: She used to work as Lead Manager of a helpline for women and children in Afghanistan where she was awarded "Asia's Best Performer in Women's Rights 2020/2021" by Asia Awards. She was forced to leave Afghanistan with her five year old daughter and 15 year old sister -- while her husband escaped to Turkey (where he remains). Behishta now lives in Hanover where she gave birth to twins early this year and is enrolled in a master's degree program at Dartmouth.
