Hanover Rotary will meet this Wednesday, October 9 in the Paganucci Lounge at '53 Commons at Dartmouth College at 11:45. This week we have asked the Lebanon Rotary Club to join us for a special video presentation by an amazing national speaker, whom President Bob heard at a regional Rotary PETS ( president elect training seminar?) meeting. We will hear from Chris Singleton, who became a nationally-renowned speaker with a message of resilience, forgiveness and unity following the loss of his mother in the 2015 Mother Emanuel Church tragedy in Charleston, South Carolina. Chris is a former minor league baseball player who now inspires audiences with his story of resilience with a message that "Love is Stronger than Hate".

On October 23, our speaker will be Randall Balmer, an Episcopal priest and Dartmouth's John Phillips Professor of Religion. Dr. Balmer was nominated for an Emmy for writing and hosting a PBS series based on his second book: Mine Eyes Have Seen the Glory: A Journey into the Evangelical Subculture in America. His topic will be: The Perils of Christian Nationalism.

If you need a reason to join Hanover Rotary for lunch on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month, the top quality speakers should be enough! Thank you Liam McCarthy for arranging most of our speakers and for Bob Haynes for working so hard to have Chris Singleton's video available to us. Plus friendship, a great lunch, and being part of something bigger than any one of us should inspire us all to show up.

At our last meeting we heard from Bill Black on rank choice voting.  Hoping to hear from Jed Williamson on how the Walk to End Alzheimer's went. Before you know it, we'll be gearing up for Bell Ringing.

Let's have a great turnout for these next 2 meetings. Bring a friend!
