This week we meet for lunch on Wednesday July 24 at 11:45 in the Paganucci Room at '63 Commons on Dartmouth's campus to hear one of our always memorable speakers: Danny Blanchflower. Danny always comes loaded with info and insights on the national and world economy. This is a great meeting to bring a guest, as you'll be entertained, you'll learn a lot from a world renowned author, scholar, presenter and it'll make you proud to be in a club with such quality speakers. Thank you, Liam McCarthy for doing such an admirable job.
2 weeks ago we heard from Kathy Harvard about all the great research and testing breakthroughs for Alzheimer's. Kathy was inspiring. She urged our club to participate in The Walk to End Alzheimer's, which takes place starting at Hanover High School on Saturday October 5. The walk will be short and sweet and ends in plenty of time to still get to the home football game. Let's show our support and join the walk!
The club also gave a big thank you to Bruce Atwood for his very successful year of leadership and welcomed Bob Haynes as our new President.
On Saturday July 13, Jim Bonney led a group of Hanover Rotary volunteers to help out with the Prouty sag station at the Dartmouth skiway. Thanks to all for participating and being part of another record breaking event to benefit the Norris Cotton Cancer Center.
The board is meeting Tuesday July 23, 4:30 at the Howe Library. Any club member is welcome to attend.
Please think about bringing a guest to hear Danny Blanchflower this week. Your guest will thank YOU for the energizing presentation.
