LAST WEEK’S SPEAKER:

John Hochreiter introduced District Governor Mike Carrier who used the Rotary 2021-22 Vision Statement as the basis for his talk. The vision statement reads:

Together, we see a world where people unite and take action to create
lasting change across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.”

He identified four priorities for each club in the district based on that statement: to increase our impact, expand our reach, enhance participant engagement, and increase our ability to adapt. He used the work of several clubs on the Paul Harris Elementary School in Managua, Nicaragua as an example of how a Rotary Club can have an international impact while transforming the lives of Rotarians and those we serve.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Tom Csatari used the District Governor’s remarks to remind club members to make donations to the Foundation, which underwrites the kinds of activities described in the talk.

David Allen recognized Kevin Wenger for his donations that led to him being recognized as a Paul Harris +3 Fellow.

David Allen also sought volunteers to help with the annual speech contest. Jed Williamson volunteered to assist but others will be needed as well. Please let David or Jed know if you are interested in helping out.
