HANOVER ROTARY HAS A SERIOUS PROBLEM: Our meeting attendance has been so poor that we may lose the privilege of meeting at Jesse's. Their expectation to reserve our room, meet their costs and staff our needs is a minimum of 30 attendees. The last several months we've usually had less than half that. To sustain our relationship with Jesse's, we need you to come to more than half of our meetings. If this doesn't happen, the club is going the change significantly. Frankly, the Rotarians who work to run each meeting and the great speakers we have also deserve better attendance. I hope to see you at many upcoming meetings!

 

Last week, we had a fun presentation from Ken Hendra of Toast of the Valley Toastmasters club. They invite Rotarians to join their activities. Their website is here. 

 

Our gala and auction is coming up fast: a week from Thursday. At our meeting last week, Bruce announced that about 115 tickets had been sold. Our goal is at least 200. We have some incredible silent and live auction items! Please invite friends and neighbors. Doug Brendel a Rotarian from the Boston area is driving to Hanover to tell us about his humanitarian activities in Belarus. This is our last meeting until after Thanksgiving so please come Wednesday noon at Jesse's.
